The apartment at Loanside Lodge was amazing! It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bedroom was cozy and the flat-screen TV was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The fully equipped kitchen was a game-changer, I felt just like a pro chef with the dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge, and oven. I loved being able to make my own meals and save some money. It truly felt like a home away from home!

The only downside was that there wasn't a tea/coffee maker in the apartment. But that's just my personal preference, others might not mind.

This place is in a peaceful and ideal location next to Scapa Flow as well as Orkney, and everything was perfect.

I had such a wonderful stay at Loanside Lodge in Holm, Orkney. The location was perfect for exploring the mainland and nearby islands. The lodge itself was incredibly well-equipped, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen had all the necessary cooking utensils, and the bathroom was spacious and modern. The bed was incredibly comfortable, even though it was a double size. The owners, Kim and Paul, were so accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay. They even provided some thoughtful welcome goodies upon my arrival. The peacefulness of the surrounding countryside was exactly what I needed to relax and unwind. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Orkney.

Although the bed was comfortable, I did find the double size a bit small for my preference. Additionally, it would have been helpful to have soap and shampoo provided in the shower.

The views were absolutely breathtaking, and we loved sitting on the deck and enjoying our morning coffee or evening Prosecco. The location was perfect - close enough to Kirkwall for convenience, but far enough away for peace and quiet. We even had friendly cattle as neighbors! Kim and Paul were fantastic hosts, making sure we had a wonderful stay. I can't recommend Loanside Lodge highly enough - a truly superb experience.
